G2 lists a 4.4 rating from 716 reviews, which is a sizable sample. Zoho was founded in 1996 and is based in Chennai, India.
The caution is on the security side. The WorkDrive page does not document SSO or SOC 2, so it is a poor fit if either is a hard requirement. Use the 15-day trial, which needs no card. Test desktop sync with offline editing on a large real folder, and try subfolder roles and external links with expiry on a project you share with outsiders. Edit a document in Writer and a spreadsheet in Sheet, then use check-in and check-out and comments. Check how pooled storage behaves as users are added. If you deal with external clients, price client users separately. On Business, test the 120 days of data recovery by deleting and restoring files.
