Our take for buyers

Typeform is a form and survey builder known for conversational, one-question-at-a-time layouts. Shortlist it for marketing and lead capture work where polish and ease of use matter more than deep analysis, at roughly 100 to 10,000 responses a month. G2 lists it at 4.5 from 944 reviews, and reviewers highlight an easy, intuitive builder with a G2 ease of use score of 9.3.

It is a weaker fit for research teams that need panels or advanced statistical analysis, and for companies that need SSO without signing an enterprise contract. Response allowances are shared across all forms in an account, so one busy campaign can use up the quota for everyone. Decide early whether your team stays under 6 users.

Security, admin and compliance

Published: SSO and the organization activity log are Enterprise only, as are organization viewer seats and dedicated support. Not published: SCIM, data residency and a DPA. Any team above 5 users must move to Enterprise, so security controls and seat growth arrive in the same negotiation. Monthly plans are available, cancellation takes effect at the end of the prepaid period, and prepaid subscriptions cannot be paused, so check the terms before paying for a year.

What to test in a Typeform demo or trial

Build your most demanding real form, including logic and any hidden data you pass in, and share it with a realistic audience. Then check how responses are counted against the plan, since the monthly allowance is shared across all forms, and see what happens when you approach the cap. Look at the reporting you would actually use, because analysis and integrations are not described in detail on the pricing page. If you plan to use contacts and automations, test them on a plan that includes the add-on, as Free and Basic exclude it.

Questions to ask Typeform before you sign

These are the points Typeform's public pages leave open. Get the answers in writing before procurement signs off.

  1. Is SCIM provisioning included, or a paid add-on?
  2. Where is our data stored, and can we choose the region?
  3. Can we sign your standard DPA without changes?
  4. What will the price be at renewal, and is the increase capped?

Things to know before a demo

  • Seats are fixed per plan (1, 3, 3, 5, 5) so a 20 person team has no self-serve path: Enterprise is required beyond 5 users.
  • SSO and the organization activity log are Enterprise only.
  • Prepaid subscriptions cannot be paused; cancellation takes effect at period end and forms may close to new responses.
  • Contacts & Automations add-on costs $25/mo (2,400 actions) or $75/mo (12,000), excluded on Free/Basic.
